Impression
The entrance makes a very posh impression; this applies for the lobby too. The lobby and the entrance are not very large, but this does not matter for the air. It just makes it all nicer in fact. The lobby contains a few couches, chairs and tables, but nothing more than that. The impression of the rest of the hotel is a bit gloomy, which is not getting better by the use of the light stone colour.
reception
The reception was a bit messy, but the friendliness to the customer made it all better. It is possible that you have to wait a while before you have been completely helped. It can be noticed from the staff that they know this is the only five star hotel in Luxembourg. This is very positive for you as a customer.
public areas
The public areas are organized very well. When starting with the lobby, it can be said that this is very small. The swimming pool and the fitness area are fine and will give you all the luxury of a five star hotel. The restaurants of the hotel are tidy and modern. Further more the kitchens offer you a large range of meals. The corridors are excellent and decorated in the same light colour as the lobby is.
rooms
The rooms are furnitured simple and a bit Spartacan; this is the story of the old part of the hotel. In the newer building the rooms are not much better, but you will notice that they are a bit newer. The rooms are decorated with light coloured wood. The bathrooms are very small and can be divided in the category standard hotel bathroom.
halls
The halls are very low ceiling dark rooms, this is not caused by the fact of a small amount of windows, but because very broad pillars are placed in the halls. The halls can be put together, but this doesn’t make any difference on the whole. For a normal party those halls are not recommended, but for the smaller conferences they will be suitable accommodations.
situation
The situation is simply superb, because the hotel stands in Luxembourg City central. You should book fast, because this is the only five star hotel in the centre and because of the exceptional situation.
